During Romsey Festival on Sunday 9 July there will be another opportunity to visit some private gardens, large and small, within walking distance of the town centre. No dogs, except guide dogs allowed. Some gardens will serve refreshments.
Arranged by the Romsey and District Society.
Tickets, which include a map and list of the gardens, available:
– In advance, from Romsey TIC (01794 512987) for £4, from early May until 5pm on Wednesday 5th July.
From Thursday 6th July, tickets will cost £5.
– On the day, at each garden, for £5. Gardens will be identifiable by posters and balloons at the entrance to each relevant property.
– Entrance free for Accompanied children under 14.
No dogs allowed (except guide dogs).
Visitors may start at any garden, and the number of gardens visited (and the order in which they are visited) is entirely flexible.
Refreshments will be available in some gardens (identified on the ticket).
Romsey Signal Box will be open the same day (access through Brick Lane from Winchester Road, or from the Barge Canal path), and those following the La Ronde gardens tour are encouraged to make a detour to see the signal box and its increasingly landscaped site. Anyone holding a La Ronde ticket will be given free access to the Signal Box site on this day (entrance charges apply to all other visitors).
Closing time of all gardens will be 6pm.
