Textile panels inspired by scientific research at Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire portraying the “dangerous beauty” of viruses and diseases. The panels were commissioned for the opening of the research facility at Harwell in 2007 and made by members of Oxfordshire WIs under the guidance of leading textile artist Anne Griffiths. Over 1000 scientists and WI members were involved in the project which is one of the largest between art and science in the UK.
